Our Story


Great Commission International Ministries is a 5013C non-profit entity. GCIM is a ministry established with the primary purpose of assisting churches to evangelize the world for Jesus Christ. The founder of the ministry, Sam Hollis, has been an ordained minister for over 57 years.

With a passion and desire to see lives transformed and energized by a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, Sam has worked to create a curriculum of  practical materials that can be utilized by churches and individuals to evangelize those with whom they come in contact. Additionally, these materials promote the value of on-going discipleship and continued spiritual growth for all whom exercise a faith in Jesus Christ.

About the Founder, Sam Hollis


Sam Hollis is an ordained Southern Baptist Minister.  He was radically saved and called to preach at 17 years of age. He began pastoring Southern Baptist Churches at 20 years of age.  His entire ministry has been with churches in North and Central Alabama.

He is a graduate of Samford University, Birmingham and the University of Alabama at Birmingham.  He has also completed graduate studies at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

He is the parent of a grown son, and grandparent of one granddaughter.  His wife is deceased.

He presently serves as Pastor of Outreach at East Side Baptist Church, Cullman, Alabama and as President of Great Commission International Ministries.
